1. Events Manager

Celebrating anything good with parties and Big Fat weddings have become a new trend in the Indian culture among Rich and not so rich also. Be it a birthday, engagement, marriage anniversary, promotion, new job or even a religious occasion, people want to throw a party and make it look special too.

This rather newly created demand is catered by the Event Management Companies. While the business is good there is shortage of good and trained people.

Job Profile of Events Manager

If you become an Event Manager, you will have many responsibilities on your shoulders. You will be required to meet the clients, learn about their tastes and preferences, plan and execute different types of events and ceremonies as per their requirements.
Though your role is behind the scenes, but you play a vital role. Along with your multi – talented team you have to make overall arrangements for occasion or the event. The pay for this profession can vary as it depends on the size of the company, type of clientele and the city you operate in. However, the starting salary can be Rs. 200,000 to Rs.300,000 Per Annum ( US$ 3,000 to US$ 4,600) and in a few years you could touch Rs. 800,000 to Rs. 1,000,000 Per Annum (US$ 12,300 to US$ 15,380). But the credulous factor over here is, you are eligible for a good pay in proportion to your talent and hard work.

2. Photographer

Are you good at clicking amazing photographs? Are you both artistic and technical? Then what are you waiting for? You can opt for the full time job as a photographer or become a freelancer.

If you are aspiring to make a career as a photographer, there are many options available. Here are some examples of different types of photographers:

  • Portrait photographers / Event Photographers: They take pictures of people and events. They may work indoors in a studio or they may have to travel to different locations to cover events like weddings and meetings.

3. Personal Fitness Trainer

If you love going to gym or exercising then this can be an interesting job as increasing number of people these days are becoming health conscious and want their body to be in great shape. It is because of such reasons, there is an increasing demand for personal trainers not only in India but across the world.

Career Path

With some Certificates you can start off as a personal trainer in part time or full time job with a gym or yoga training centre and later be a personal trainer to High Net worth Individuals (HNIs) for better income. Alternatively you may also start your own exercise center / gym.

4. Dietician

A dietitian is a specialist who advises you about a healthy diet so that you are better informed to deal with lifestyle problems like being overweight, obese etc. As the people are becoming health conscious and they want scientific and proven solutions, the demand for the services of dietitians is increasing.

Career Path

Dietitians are required to work in hospitals, clinics, health clubs, slimming centers, schools, catering companies or can even be self-employed.

There is a good demand for dieticians overseas also.

Skills required for becoming a Dietician

Apart from being good at communications, a Dietician should have Bachelors Degree – B.Sc. (Home Science) or B.Sc. Nutrition or BE Food Technology. After that you are required to take a license from IDA.

Pay

In the private sector, hospitals and five star hotels are paying good salaries and incentives to dieticians. It is between Rs. Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 250,000 per annum for 0 to 3 years experience. Today with about 5 to 10 years of experience senior dietitians are earning Rs. 500,000 to 15,00,000 per annum ( US$ 7,700 to US$ 23,000).

5. Social Media Manager

Generally, the job profile of a social media manager is to create and run marketing campaigns, brand promotions or general awareness about the company on different social media platforms.
